Social Sciencers
About
Social Sciencers give members a general view of social science and the major-related opportunities providing greater access to alumni talks, future career options, and specific track-related content. It also helps connect the social science students. The founders of Social Sciencers all major in social sciences, we want to establish this club because we felt that this club would be a supplement to the school's social science related resources, which can potentially help students better understand social science and whether they fit this major. In this regard, we designed activities that we thought would be meaningful in practice but are not yet offered at NYUShanghai. After checking the club list, we find that some existing clubs are introducing business, CS, and math, but there are currently no introductory-purpose clubs for social science as a whole. In this manner, we think Social Sciencers would uniquely contribute to the NYU Shanghai community.
